1 shot in chest, another in arm after gunman opens fire in Cocoa

COCOA, Fla. — Police in Cocoa said two shootings that happened Tuesday appear to be related.

The first shooting happened at the Village Green apartments in the 1700 block of Dixon Boulevard.

Police said one man was shot multiple times in the chest and another in the arm.

The names and conditions of the victims have not been released.

"I heard eight gunshots," said resident Marc Horr.

Barbara Burns, the aunt of one of the victims, told Channel 9 she didn't know who the gunman was.

"They came up shooting. That's all we know," she said.

The second shooting scene was reported a short time later near Railroad Avenue and E Street.

No one was injured in the shooting but police believe it was related to the Village Greene incident.

So far, police don't have a motive for the first shooting. They said one of the victims is refusing to cooperate.
