Police: Man fatally shoots ex-girlfriend's relative

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A man is accused of fatally shooting a relative of his ex-girlfriend after a domestic dispute in Daytona Beach Sunday, police said.

Daytona Beach police said they found Anthony Fields shot multiple times at the Carolina Club apartments, where he was with his wife and daughter, shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Police later determined that Dommick Neeley Jr., 21, had gotten into an argument with Fields’ daughter Chakera at the Carolina Club apartments and had called his mother, Pearl Hodges, to the scene.

Hodges then got into an argument with Chakera’s mother, Chaka, leading Neeley to retrieve a gun from his car and shoot Fields, police said.
