TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A man robbed a restaurant and shot a worker on Wednesday evening, the Titusville Police Department said.
A man armed with a gun barged into China 1 at Harrison Street and Barna Avenue at about 10 p.m., threatened the cashier, took money from the cash register and shot the employee before running away, police spokeswoman Amy Matthews said.
The robber, who was last seen running east on Harrison Street, is described as black, 6 feet tall and slender, Matthews said.
Investigators said the man's face was covered with a black handkerchief embossed with a white skull. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, a black knit cap and black shoes, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Detectives said they're reviewing surveillance footage of the robbery and shooting, which remains under investigation.
The victim gave the gunman money from the cash register without a struggle, which made Titusville resident Brenda Williams wonder why he opened fire.
"I hope somebody finds out who did it and tells, because that don't make no sense," she said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Titusville police at 321-264-7800 or Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
