Police: Man threw explosive device on car outside sports bar

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — An argument turned explosive outside a Volusia County restaurant Sunday night.

Just before 8 p.m. Sunday, an explosive device went off behind Mickey Finn's Sports Bar in Orange City.

Orange City police said a man put the device on a car.

And they haven't said exactly what that device was made of, but it exploded behind the building.

The explosive device forced part of the shopping center to be evacuated.

Police said it all started with an argument between Aaron Nesbitt and another person.

That's when police said Nesbitt threw an explosive onto a windshield, where it exploded.

"Anytime you have an explosive device, I would deem that to be pretty serious," said Ken Jones of the Orange City Police Department.

Using reinforcements from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, authorities tracked down Nesbitt and arrested him on charges of criminal mischief, having explosives and throwing an explosive device.

WFTV found out that Nesbitt was arrested earlier this month on charges of resisting an officer without violence.
