Police: Man upskirts woman at Sanford Goodwill

SANFORD, Fla. — A Sanford man is accused of taking pictures and videos of a woman’s undergarments at a Sanford Goodwill, police said.

Police responded to the Goodwill store at 300 E. 3rd St. at 6:34 p.m. Monday and found several people surrounding the accused suspect just outside the business.

Harold Charles Davis, 55, of Sanford, is accused of leaning down behind a woman and shooting up her skirt, police said. Once the woman realized what Davis was doing, she began hitting him and screaming for help, police said.

Davis ran out of the store, but was tackled by the victim and held down by other witnesses, police said.

Police tried questioning Davis, but he asked for his lawyer and wouldn’t talk. He is being held on a $750 bail.

Goodwill Industries said in a statement, “At Goodwill, we continually strive to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our shoppers and donors to support our mission of job training and placement for Central Floridians in need. We are distressed by the incident that occurred yesterday in our Sanford Retail Store, and we are grateful to the police for their timely response.

“We want to let the public know that the store is open and operating as normal.”
