ORLANDO, Fla. — After more than an hour after losing electricity park-wide, Universal Studios reported that the issue had been resolved and power was restored.
The park lost power at about 10 a.m. Universal officials said guests were able to get off the all the rides, but firefighters were brought in to rescue about 12 guests from Transformers 3D and Men in Black: Alien Attack.
A Universal representative said it was an "internal issue," and crews are working to get the rides running.
“Doesn't shock me. It could happen occasionally, just as long as everyone’s OK, I guess its alright,” said park guest Don Bratton said.
Islands of Adventure was not impacted by the power outage.
Power was restored at about 11:20 a.m.
