ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A suspicious explosive device threat was called into the Jewish Community Center in Maitland Wednesday morning, fire officials said.
This is the third time in recent weeks that the Jewish Community Center in Maitland has been evacuated. Eyewitness News has also reported about other Jewish Community Centers across the state that have received bomb threats and other threats.
A robotic voice called in the threat around 10 a.m., police said. The caller said an explosive was in the pre-K area of the campus, police said.
The center is on lockdown, and no one can go in or out of the campus, police said.
Everyone has been evacuated to another area of the campus.
It's unclear how many people were evacuated.
"Until we investigate it, we will treat it as serious," said Maitland police.
