Retired Apopka police K9 passes away

APOPKA, Fla. — A retired police dog that spent 10 years with the Apopka Police Department has died.

Neo joined the force in 2004 when he was a little more than a year old.

He was trained to find illegal drugs.

He retired from the police department last year.

Apopka police officer Paul Rehn adopted him.

The department said Neo loved being in public and participating in the community.
