Revamped Orlando Magic set for Media Day at Amway Center

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic has a new coaching staff, a new general manager and 12 new players.

The team is holding its annual Media Day at the Amway Center on Monday.

With Dwight Howard off to Los Angeles to join the L.A. Lakers, the Orlando Magic is kicking off a new season with a revamped team.

"You've got the young generation, the young kids that are coming in that are high talent, so we are going to stun some people. I am excited," said Magic player Glenn "Big Baby" Davis.

Davis is one of only five players returning from last year's team.

The rest of the players are coming to the Magic through trades, the draft and free-agent signings engineered by new Magic general manager, Rob Hennigan.

Aaron Afflalo is the biggest name of the incoming players.

"We have got to go back to work now and figure out how to plan and architect the vision for getting this team to where we want to get it to," said Hennigan.

It will be up to first-time head coach Jacques Vaughn to put it all together.

WFTV will be at the Amway Center when Media Day starts at 1:30 p.m.
