BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County deputies have arrested another suspect in a school theft ring.

Last month, a veteran district employee was arrested.

Dale Gunther, 54, is one of three employees suspected of using their positions with the district for their own gain.

So far, Gunther and Edward Strobush have been charged.

Gunther, Strobush and a third Brevard County Public Schools employee who worked at the Cocoa Fleet Maintenance Facility are on unpaid administrative leave.

According to court records, other employees openly discussed how the suspects used school board funds to purchase personal property.

Those invoices included purchases for home security cameras, parts for a Jeep Wrangler, a Harley-Davidson steering wheel and a safe for pickup truck.

Investigators are still reviewing records, but have said the loss to the district could approach $100,000.
