Seminole County man accused of exposing himself in restaurants

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A man accused of exposing himself and masturbating in two Seminole County restaurants has been arrested.

Altamonte Springs police said the first incident involving Alvaro Pena Yepes happened in April at Johnny’s Pizza and Pasta on Cranes Roost Boulevard.

Koreann Lo said she found him masturbating at a booth, and that he ejaculated on the floor.

“I didn’t know if I should call 911. I didn’t know if I should say something,” she said.

She told police he wouldn’t leave her alone when he first got to the restaurant and continually made inappropriate comments.

“He was like, ‘Whenever you get off work, come to my house,’” she said.

Pena Yepes was trespassed from the property, and the victim later decided to press charges.

She and another waitress said they’ve seen him in the area before.

In another incident on May 12, police were called to Longhorn Steakhouse on Douglas Avenue, where the bartender said Pena Yepes continually made inappropriate sexual comments toward her, and the other guests began to feel uncomfortable.

She told police as she was closing the bar, she found him masturbating under a table.

Pena Yepes has a trail of arrests for similar incidents at restaurants dating back to 2012.

Police said he would bond out of jail, and do it again, but for the first time, he’s being charged with a felony.

“Hopefully, through the court system, he’ll be able to get harder sanctions imposed on him, get him help if he’s struggling with some type of issues,” said Officer Evelyn Esteves of the Altamonte Springs Police Department.

After years of allegedly exposing himself in restaurants, and at least one conviction, Pena Yepes has never had to register as a sex offender.

The way the law is written, a conviction this time still wouldn’t land him on the sex offender list.

He’s being held in the Seminole County Jail on indecent exposure and battery charges.
