Seminole State College willing to help ITT students affected by closed campuses

CENTRAL FLORIDA — Schools like Seminole State College told Channel 9’s Sarabeth Ackerman that it is willing to help students from ITT to transition in their school.

ITT announced earlier its week that all its campuses nationwide will close.

Seminole State College tweeted out they’re here to help and that its college seems like a “natural fit” to transition to its university.

The school credits its 200 programs. Officials with the school said they offer degrees in nursing, business, accounting and criminal justice, just to name a few.

However, Eyewitness News wanted to know if ITT credits that students have earned so far will transfer seamlessly and be accepted at Seminole State College.

A spokesperson from the college said, "We have had several ITT students visit the campus, and each student is being handled on a case-by-case basis to determine where they stand on courses and financial aid."

Any student that wants to apply into the program would still have to go through the transfer process.
