‘She's overexcited,' says Lake Mary doctor, 87 accused of inappropriately touching patient

LAKE MARY, Fla. — A Lake Mary doctor who has been stripped of his license said had no idea of the emergency suspension.

The Dr. William Dalton, 87, is accused of sexually assaulting the same female patient multiple times.

Channel 9’s Len Kiese asked Dalton about the allegations.

“I didn’t do anything,” said Dalton.

“I have eight pages of documentation saying you did do something and that you admitted it,” said Kiese.

Dalton responded by saying he touches “a lot of patients” and denied anything inappropriate ever happened.

An order released this week imposes an emergency suspension of Dalton’s license.

A patient told the Department of Health he inappropriately touched her on close to a dozen office visits.

"I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying I think she's overexcited,” said Dalton.

On one visit to refill meds, the patient said Dalton pulled up her shirt and bra, and began touching and kissing her breasts.

She accuses him of crossing the line during several other visits between June of 2016 and April 2017.

"Sir, at my age, there's not much enjoyment playing with somebody,” said Dalton.

The woman filed a police report in May and an investigator then interviewed Dalton.

Documents stated he smiled and said, “I may have touched her breasts. They are my biggest attraction."

The order also states Dalton told the investigator, "I just did it for the enjoyment of it."

Dalton denied that that’s what he said during the interview.

Since Channel 9 began asking questions about Dalton, police said the investigation has grown and two more people have come forward with similar claims.

Dalton continually denied crossing the line as a doctor.

"I touch breasts only because there's something that needs to be examined,” he said.

The state deemed Dalton "immediate, serious danger to the public health, safety or welfare."

Despite the emergency suspension of Dalton's license, his office was open Thursday with patients waiting.
