Social science teacher reprimanded for yelling profanity-ridden threats to Orange County students

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County teacher is accused of using some choice words in the classroom and even making threats against students.

Channel 9's Len Kiese learned that Jason Olson, a social sciences teacher at Ocoee High School, received a letter of reprimand from the state Dec. 9.

The letter stated: "by your actions, you have lessened the reputation of all who practice our profession."

Eyewitness News the allegations against Olson include calling students "mexican magnates" or words to that effect, and threatening to kick students or punch them in the face.

In one incident, he reportedly told a 16-year-old girl, "Roll your eyes at me again and I will take my shoe off and beat your *blank*.”

Then, there are accusations Olson used several other profanities in his presentation of lessons from "hell" to the "f" word.

A check of the school's website showed Olson still listed under the staff directory.

A spokesperson for Orange County Public Schools confirmed he is employed as a teacher, but when asked for information, they said they do not comment on employee matters.

Along with a letter of reprimand, punishment handed down from the Education Practices Commission includes two years of probation and a $750 fine.

Olson is also ordered to take a college-level course in education ethics.

Eyewitness News reached out to Olson through his listed work email for comment, but so far, we haven't heard back.
