Suspicious envelope forces evacuations at Mid Florida Tech in Orlando

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A suspicious envelope forced the evacuation of a building on the campus of Mid Florida Tech in Orlando Tuesday morning.

Orange County Fire and Rescue officials said people inside the main administration building were asked to leave the building and that no one was allowed inside while Hazmat units worked at the scene.

Around 9 a.m. fire officials said the envelope was determined to be non-threatening and school employees and students were allowed back into the administration building.
