Teen who robbed adult store then filled out job application gets 10 years

DeLAND, Fla. — A teenager who robbed an adult store and then filled out a job application before leaving has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In March, Cody Conner attempted to rob Cupid's Corner in DeLand, but a clerk was able to convince him to put away the gun and talk.

Conner claimed he needed money to pay his grandparents' bills, and the clerk convinced him to apply for a job and asked him to fill out an application.

Conner filled out the application, which deputies used to later track him down.
