Maitland Boulevard I-4 overpass reopens after truck crash

MAITLAND, Fla. — A four-vehicle crash involving a dump truck shut down the eastbound lanes of the West Maitland Boulevard overpass above Interstate 4 Tuesday afternoon, Orange County Fire Rescue said.

A sport utility vehicle was seen hanging over the guardrail of the overpass.

Four people were treated for injuries, none of which were life-threatening, the Maitland Fire Department said.

The Maitland Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash, which happened shortly after 2 p.m.

The road was reopened within two hours.

The crash caused minor, superficial damage to the overpass guardrail, the Florida Department of Transportation said.
