2 dead, 10 injured in Orlando nightclub shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. — 10:22 a.m. Update:

Orlando police announced a total of 11 people were shot during Glitz Ultra Lounge incident.

Two people were killed and one is in critical condition. The remaining shooting victims do not have life-threatening injuries, the Orlando Police Department said.

There were 300 people in the club at the time of the shooting, OPD said.

The department also said its officers did not fire any shots at the scene and none were injured.

The scene is being processed by the homicide and CSI units.

9:16 a.m. Update:

"This is going to be a very intensive and complicated investigation," says OPD spokesperson Michelle Guido.

OPD just updated their investigation.  Here is what we know:

3 off-duty officers were inside the Glitz Club when the shots were fired

There are 12 total victims.  The seriousness of their injuries varies.  Their identities have not been released.

OPD could be looking for as many as three shooters.  No images of the shooters have been released.

Orlando Police say they will update their investigation at 9AM this morning.

8 a.m. Update:

Sharing information via Twitter, Orlando Police said an off-duty inside Club Glitz reported shots fired at 12:59AM Sunday.  OPD also tweeted as many as nine people were injured, but not all of the wounded were shot.

6:45 a.m.

Two people were killed and six others injured Sunday morning following a shooting at an Orlando nightclub.

It happened at Glitz on Universal Boulevard.

Orlando Police remain on the scene.

Eyewitness News is working to gather information about the shooter.

No information about the victims has been released.
