Father, son found dead in St. Cloud home

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A father and son were found dead Monday inside their home in Saint Cloud, and investigators are calling both deaths suspicious.

The bodies of 51-year-old Vince Vaughn and 20-year-old Tyler Vaughn were discovered inside their yellow, one-story home on 15th Street.

Investigators aren't saying how the two men died.

WFTV spoke to some friends of the family who said they are stunned by it all.

Friends said Tyler Vaughan was a popular, outgoing 20-year-old.

"He got along with everybody. Everybody loved him," said Daniel Brown.

He graduated from St. Cloud High School in 2010 where he played linebacker on the football team.

Brown was a friend and teammate.

"Tyler was an all-around good guy. He was just that guy that everyone loved. He was outgoing. He was just that fun person," said Brown.

Vince Vaughn worked on the custodial staff at Michigan Avenue Elementary, and co-workers called police Monday morning, surprised that he didn't show up for work.

Police said when they got to the home, they found the father and son dead, but they've declined to say how they died or what they found in the house.

As the word of Tyler Vaughn's death spread, friends like Brown began to show up at the scene in disbelief.

"I just saw him two days ago. Me and my friends we were at this party, and it was just, I don't know; it's just surreal," said Brown.
