UCF frat member arrested on child porn charges, investigators say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A two-month investigation has landed a University of Central Florida student in jail on charges of child pornography, according to investigators at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement or FDLE.

Kevin Estrada, 20, faces 10 counts of possessing child porn.

Agents with FDLE arrested him Thursday night at Zeta Beta Tau fraternity house. The investigation into the student began in September, investigators said.

"Everybody's pretty horrified, I guess. It's just not something right," a student told Channel 9's Cierra Putman.

A spokesperson for the fraternity said in a statement that it has a zero-tolerance policy and took immediate action and kicked him out of the fraternity.

Investigators said in their report that they found "multiple files of child pornography” on Estrada’s laptop.

The graphic images involved boys and girls ages of 7 to 10 years old, investigators said.

A university spokesperson confirmed Estrada was a team captain of Knight-Thon, a dance marathon that raises money for Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network hospitals. A spokesman said Estrada was immediately removed from the position.
