US Honor Flag coming to Orlando for fallen police officer, deputy

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Texas-based U.S. Honor Flag is being brought to Orlando for the two law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty Monday.

Master Sgt. Debra Clayton, 42, died Monday morning at Orlando Regional Medical Center after wanted homicide suspect Markeith Loyd shot her three times outside a Pine Hills-area Walmart near John Young Parkway, police said.

Orange County Deputy Norman Lewis, 35, was assisting with the search effort for the gunman in Clayton’s death when he was hit by a van while riding his motorcycle, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.

The Honor Network said the U.S. Honor Flag would be sent to Orlando and all services of The Honor Network would be provided to both agencies and families.%
