PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Port Orange police said a man who reported a break-in at his home in July, has been arrested for drug possession.
William Young said someone busted out his window at his home on Bearfoot Trail, but when police showed up, they found several items of drug paraphernalia and marijuana in his bedroom, police said.
An officer began a drug investigation into Young last week and went to Young’s house in a marked police car, the police report said. As the officer approached the house, he said he could smell marijuana coming from the front door.
The officer left and returned with more officers and conducted a search warrant. Inside Young’s bedroom, they found marijuana, meth, amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills, digital scale, seals bags and baggies used for distributing marijuana, police said.
Two Hefty storage bags of marijuana, as well as other drug paraphernalia were found throughout the house, police said.
Young and his roommate, Caleb Wetherell, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis oil, possession of cannabis under 20 grams of possession, and drug paraphernalia.
