WATCH: Gunman steals cash drawer from Ocala McDonald's drive-thru

OCALA, Fla. — Ocala police are looking for the gunman who robbed a McDonald's restaurant through the drive-thru window.

The robbery happened on Feb. 16 at the McDonald's restaurant on Silver Springs Boulevard.

An employee told police that she took an order from the driver of a dark-colored SUV just after midnight. Once the SUV pulled forward, the robber walked up and physically forced the window back open and leaned into the drive-thru window, the employee said.

According to a police report, the robber yelled, "Give me the (explicit) money now!" and pointed a gun at the employee.

When the employee ran into the restaurant to tell her co-workers about the robbery, the man was able to remove the cash drawer and ran off.

Police have not released a description of the gunman.
