Water main break shuts down southbound U.S. 1 in Cocoa

COCOA, Fla. — A water main break on Thursday shut down the southbound lanes of U.S. 1 at State Road 528 in Cocoa.

Cocoa police said the water main break was reported Thursday afternoon in the 2300 block of U.S. 1.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

Police said the closure should last about an hour.

Crews are at the scene working to set up a contingency lane through the construction area.

No other details have been released.
