Which Orange County worker is the top paid? Hint: It’s not the mayor

Orange County government’s highest-paid employee is not Mayor Jerry Demings.

For the 6,920 employees with a salary available, the average pay was $59,740. The county’s average rate among all employees with available data was $26.90 per hour.

Data provided by the county includes employees across multiple government departments, including county leaders. In addition, the list includes varying schedules of pay, contracts and other differences between departments and positions.
