Windermere to host a candlelight memorial honoring Officer Robert German

WINDERMERE, Fla. — Windermere will host a Candlelight Memorial Service at 7:30 PM on Friday, March 28th at Central Park, 436 Oakdale Street in Windermere.

Two blocks away Windermere’s Family Food Truck Night will also be held and attendees will be invited to walk across Main Street where they will be provided candles for adults and glowsticks for children.

“Many residents want to have the opportunity to honor and thank Officer German right here in the Town that he served. I can think of no better place than our Central Park where the incorporation of our Town was celebrated almost 90 years ago” said Mayor Gary Bruhn.

The Service will also feature musical performances by members of the First Baptist Church of Windermere and the Pipes and Drums of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.  This service is open to all.
