A woman was arrested after two people on a motorcycle were seriously injured in a crash during Bike Week in Daytona Beach Friday.
Witnesses identified 49-year-old Tina Byrd as the person behind the wheel of a pickup truck seen driving recklessly along Atlantic Avenue near Main Street around 7:30 p.m.
Daytona Beach police say Byrd later crashed into a motorcycle carrying two riders who were both ejected, causing severe upper body and head injuries to them both.
They were both taken to Halifax Hospital and are expected to survive.
According to police, Byrd crashed into a second vehicle before she was stopped and taken into custody.
Byrd has been charged with five separate counts of driving under the influence including two for each of the injured motorcycle riders.
