Noel, Oladipo, Trade? Hennigan will make right choice

Magic general manager Rob Hennigan has made it clear time and time again that he is going to do whatever is in the best interest of the Orlando Magic organization. If he continues to live by that mantra, Magic fans should have no worries about what Hennigan does with tonight's 2nd overall pick. Hakuna matata.

Every move Hennigan has made since taking over the Magic has turned out to be the right move. The naysayers have been ready to bash the youngest GM in the NBA after the Dwight Howard deal and J.J. Redick trade, but both have worked out splendidly for Orlando.

When asked about Kentucky center Nerlens Noel’s knee issues, Hennigan said, “I don’t have a crystal ball.” Hennigan may not be able to see the future, but after what happened to Andrew Bynum in Philadelphia, it appears the Magic scouts and doctors know what to look for when vetting a player. Hennigan added, “We’ve done a lot of research on Nerlens. Based on information that we have, we feel equipped to make an educated decision.”

Hennigan has done the same exhausted research on other draft prospects like Victor Oladipo, Ben McLemore and Trey Burke. That’s all fans can ask for from the man in charge of their team’s personnel decisions.
