Dive crew recovers man’s body in Lake Conway, deputies say

BELLE ISLE, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and Dive Team said they recovered the body of a man in Lake Conway Sunday afternoon.

Crews said they found the body of a man in his 40s at about noon.

Orange County deputies responded to the 2900 block of Neta Avenue Saturday night regarding a possible drowning.

Belle Isle police and Orange County Sheriff’s Office marine units continued their search for the man they believe may have drowned in Lake Conway Sunday morning.

According to police, witnesses said they saw the man fall off a boat into the water, but never saw him come back out.

The man’s identity is not known.
