Lindsay Lohan eyes acting comeback with Christmas movie in works at Netflix

Lohan, 34, who rose to fame at the age of 11 with the 1998 reboot of “The Parent Trap,” became a household name following a string of early-career hits, including “Freaky Friday,” “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,” “Herbie Fully Loaded” and “Mean Girls,” People reported.

High-profile personal issues led to her gradual withdrawal from acting, however, and Lohan’s career became sporadic after she moved abroad. She has appeared in only two films in the past decade – 2013′s “The Canyons” and 2019′s “Among the Shadows” – sprinkled between a 2014 West End production of “Speed-the-Plow;” a recurring 2018 role on Britain’s “Sick Note;” starring in MTV’s “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club” in 2019; and appearing as a judge on the Australian version of “The Masked Singer” later that same year, Variety reported.

The untitled Netflix production is set to begin filming in November, but is not slated to air until sometime after the streamer’s eagerly anticipated 2021 holiday viewing season, the outlet reported.
