ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An armed, suicidal person who caused the closure of State Road 429 Thursday morning near Walt Disney World has been taken into custody, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies were called to the vicinity of the SpringHill Suites along State Road 429 near Western Way and Flamingo Crossing Boulevard after someone reported hearing gunfire, Orange County Deputy Rose Silva said.

Both directions of State Road 429 were closed while deputies searched for the person, Silva said.
Deputies said the person fired shots in the air.
Investigators said Western Way and Avalon Road were also closed.

All the roads have since reopened.
No one was injured in the incident.
