ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are looking for the vehicle involved in a hit and run in Winter Park Sunday that left one man dead.
Troopers said the man was crossing Aloma Avenue at North Seminole Avenue shortly after midnight when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound. That driver did not stop.
Troopers said two witnesses described the vehicle as a dark-colored SUV last seen continuing eastbound on Aloma Avenue.
The intersection was closed for several hours while troopers investigated the crash.
The deceased pedestrian has not been identified pending notification of his family.
