10-year-old dies in Marion County house fire

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A 10-year-old died Thursday morning when a mobile home went up in flames in Ocklawaha, Marion County deputies said.

The house fire started just before 3 a.m. at 5630 SE 183rd Avenue Road.

Five people, two adults and three juveniles, were able to get out of the home, however, a 10-year-old juvenile was not able to make it out and died.

The names of the victims have not been released.

A one-year-old child was airlifted to UF Health in Gainesville and is currently in stable condition, deputies said. The conditions of the other victims have not been released.

The cause of the fire has also not been released.
