TAMPA, Fla. — The U.S. Postal Service announced Thursday that numerous post offices will be suspending delivery and retail operations ahead of Hurricane Irma.
The USPS also advised residents that normal service operations will likely be affected depending on unsafe conditions such as high winds, flooding and/or impassable roads.
"In an abundance of caution, and to ensure the safety of both postal customers and employees, the Postal Service is temporarily adjusting operations at some post offices," the USPS said in a statement.
