After 8 straight days of record heat, cooler air is on the way

ORLANDO, Fla. — After the eighth consecutive day of record heat, cooler air is on the way.

It happens after a weak cool front moves in tomorrow morning.

Areas around Daytona Beach will cool up to 15 degrees from the heat we’ve been feeling.

After this happens, temperatures will cool 5 to 10 degrees Wednesday afternoon, with a northeast breeze that will pick up as well.

And this isn’t the only cool front.

Another one will arrive, bringing a chance for rain Friday late in the day and evening. It will keep temperatures cooler this upcoming weekend.

Then, an even stronger cold front arrives next week and there may be some mornings in the 40s, just in time for the Spring Break crowds.
