Boy, 10, donates lemonade stand proceeds to cancer institute

ORLANDO, Fla. — A 10-year-old Orlando boy has donated proceeds from his lemonade stand to the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.

Mark McHale collected $168 to support children battling cancer by building and managing his lemonade stand in central Florida.

WFTV found out Mark drew blueprints, strategized a marketing plan and built the structure that would help run his business.

The Florida Hospital Foundation said the online-giving platform allows friends, family and community members, inspired by Mark's generosity, to support his campaign for children with cancer.

Inspired by his generosity, Florida Hospital Foundation said it has helped Mark to take the pay-it-forward business model world-wide with a virtual lemonade stand on the Internet, using CelebrateGenerosity.org.
