Delta IV rocket launch postponed due to booster issue

United Launch Alliance has pushed back its Delta IV rocket Wednesday launch due to a stage booster issue that was discovered during inspections.

A new launch date has not been set, but officials said it won’t be earlier than March 14.

“This additional time will allow the ULA team to ensure all systems are operating nominally prior to launch,” a release said.

The problem was discovered during prelaunch inspections at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The rocket will carry a military communications satellite for the U.S. Air Force.
