Augustin was driving back to South Florida after she fled to Orange County, where she has an apartment, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Augustin faces charges that include child abuse, armed burglary and kidnapping. She is being held without bond at the Broward County Jail. Augustin is cooperating with investigators.
