ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida hit a new milestone in the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday: the first reported instance the state has had more than 10,100 cases of the virus in one day.
The record-breaking increase brings the total number of cases in the state to 169,106.
Florida also reported 67 additional deaths on Thursday, including four in Central Florida. That includes two in Osceola County and one each in Lake and Orange counties.
The state’s previous record for a daily case increase was set June 27 with 9,585 cases reported in 24 hours.
