Kissimmee man accused of impersonating a law enforcement officer

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County deputies arrested a man who they said impersonated a law enforcement officer during a road rage incident Saturday.

According to investigators, the driver of a semitruck told deputies that the driver of a car slammed on his brakes in front of his truck while driving on Orange Avenue. The driver said that a short time later the car stopped behind his truck at an intersection.

The truck driver told deputies that a man get out of the car and approached him holding what looked like a police badge. The driver said the man yelled at him that he was a police officer and told him to pull over to the side of the road.

Deputies said Almed Jurado, 32, denied displaying a badge.

The driver said he pulled off the road and called 911.

According to investigators, Jurado told them he has a badge because he was a chaplain, but he said he does not work as a chaplain for a police agency.

Investigators said his badge read "Florida Ministries Association."

Jurado was arrested, charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
