ORLANDO, Fla. — A group of first responders has dropped its lawsuit challenging Orange County’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The attorney handling the lawsuit filed it last October.

It came in response to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings issuing a vaccine mandate for county employees last summer.
But then Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning local governments from issuing that type of mandate.

The attorney voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit because it’s no longer valid.
