Mayor Dyer unveils new mural in downtown Orlando on Thursday

ORLANDO, Fla. — On Thursday, Mayor Buddy Dyer will join local artist Jonathan Stemberger for a ribbon cutting ceremony unveiling a new mural outside of CityArts, the headquarters for the Downtown Arts District.

The ribbon cutting is March 11 at 6:00 p.m. at CityArts in Downtown Orlando.

Funds for the project were made possible by fundraising efforts led by the Downtown Orlando Partnership for the Avrio Foundation.

The goal is to transform the outside area at CityArts into a fun placemaking space for the community to enjoy.

Placemaking is a multi-layered approach to the planning, design and management of public spaces, by inspiring people to collectively reimagine and reinvent public spaces as the heart of every community.
