ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A controversial proposed development in Eastern Orange County may finally be moving forward.

But the project, which calls for thousands of homes, could cause issues for Seminole County. Commissioners are concerned that the infrastructure is not in place to handle it.

The area in question is a large swath of land along the Orange and Seminole county line near North Lake Pickett and west of Chuluota Road.

The Orange County commissioner chairperson sent Orange County leaders a letter alerting them to three big areas of concern: fire service, stormwater runoff and traffic.
