Scattered showers continue throughout Sunday evening

ORLANDO, Fla. — Keep your umbrellas along for the ride if you plan to go out!

Meteorologist George Waldenberger said scattered rains and storms kept the afternoon cool.

On Monday, a few scattered morning showers and thunderstorms may occur during the afternoon.

Some areas will see additional showers Monday night.

With the early onset of rain, many areas are expected to stay below the 90s.

By Tuesday, the hotter weather pattern will return, causing afternoon storms.

Distant Subtropical Depression Don is over the Central Atlantic, with no threat to the U.S.

But Don may stick around about a week before passing on.

While additional tropical systems aren’t expected to form this week, we’ll keep an eye on a few tropical waves approaching from the West Coast of Africa for any chance of development in the week ahead.
