SANFORD, Fla. — A 17-year-old is in stable condition after being shot Friday afternoon inside a home, Sanford police said.
Police responded to the shooting in the area of West 13th Street and Olive Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and said that witnesses are cooperating.
The Sanford Fire Department took the victim to the hospital where police said the teen is in stable condition.
Police said they've spoken with several people inside the home at the time the teen was shot.
Police also characterized the shooting as an "unfortunate incident."
