Thursday forecast: Partly cloudy with cooler temps on the way

ORLANDO, Fla. — Look for partly cloudy skies Thursday with a 20% chance of showers developing later today.

Daytime highs should reach the mid-80s with temperatures dipping into the high 60s later tonight.

Looking ahead to the weekend, rain chances for much of Central Florida remain low with the forecast for rain about 20%.

On Friday, expect sunny skies with little or no chance of rain over much of the area.

Expect highs in the upper 80s and lows in the 70s.

Tropical Storm Martin formed in the northern Atlantic earlier Tuesday. The storm is forecast to become a hurricane by Wednesday.

Tropical Storm Lisa continues to strengthen in the Caribbean. It is expected to strengthen into a hurricane and move toward Central America on Wednesday.

Neither storm is forecast to impact the U.S.

Another area just to the southeast of the Caribbean could develop this weekend and into next week.

An area of low pressure may form, and it could work its way back to the Southeast United States later next week.
