KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A woman died after her vehicle crashed into a pond in Kissimmee Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Eileen Ast, 68, was traveling north on Celebration Avenue when she left the roadway and drove onto the east shoulder of the road.
They said her Mini Cooper drove over a sidewalk and into the pond before it overturned.
She later died at Celebration Hospital.
Osceola Fire Rescue crews pulled her out and performed CPR.
The crash is still being investigated.
