Motorcyclist dies after crashing into SUV in Lakeland

LAKELAND, Fla. — A motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV Thursday night in Lakeland, authorities said.

Police said the motorcyclist, Kyle Bradley Conord Roberts, 31, was driving at a high rate of speed on South Florida Avenue and crashed into 30-year-old Sarah Parades’ SUV as she was turning into a the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts.

Roberts was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.

The Lakeland Police Department, Polk County Fire Rescue and the Lakeland Fire Department tried to provide life-saving measures at the scene. Roberts was taken to Lakeland Regional Health Center, where he died.
