ORLANDO, Fla. — A motorcyclist is dead after he crashed into a car that pulled out in front of him on Colonial Drive Sunday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The 23-year-old Winter Haven biker, who hasn’t been identified, was driving east on Colonial Drive near the intersection with Amber Drive around 6:10 p.m. when a 2013 Hyundai pulled out in front him.
The Hyundai driver was attempting to turn left onto Colonial from Amber Drive when he pulled out in front of the motorcyclist, troopers said.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, troopers said.

Troopers have been unable to determine if he was wearing a helmet.

Troopers said charges against the driver are pending.
