Freeze watches were issued on Tuesday afternoon ahead of one of the coldest air masses of the season. The watches officially go in effect starting Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.
It was back in January when we had the coldest low temperatures in Orlando -- 36 degrees.
"Some of the coldest air of the winter season is not good news for the millions moving into Florida for Spring Break and Bike Week," said Channel 9 Chief Meteorologist Tom Terry.

This air mass has a good chance to become the coldest one of the season for Metro Orlando, with some models hitting at the possibility of 35 degrees by Thursday morning.
Breezy conditions will prevail through Wednesday, creating a rough surf and high seas. A small-craft advisory is in effect through Wednesday due to expected seas between 5 to 7 feet and winds from the northwest up to 25 knots across local waters and high across the open waters.
It will definitely be the longest stretch, this winter season (2016-2017) with high temperatures below average in Central Florida. Highs will be between the mid-60s to upper 60s through Friday. Rain will remain off the forecast for at least the next seven days.
Also, with very dry air dominating and breezy conditions on Wednesday, wildfires could start and spread quickly. Please avoid burns and fire pits.
